Job Description:
The IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) will serve as a Salesforce-focused Business Requirements Analyst/Developer, leading the definition of system requirements, solution design, and enhancements for complex IT systems. This role involves facilitating stakeholder meetings to gather business needs, translating them into functional specifications, and ensuring seamless integration within Salesforce and other enterprise applications.
The SME/CSA will apply standard programming procedures and subject matter expertise in Salesforce development, customization, and system integration. Responsibilities include assessing the impact of modifications on interrelated systems, troubleshooting issues, and resolving logic or coding errors. The SME/CSA will oversee testing, documentation, and deployment of enhancements, adhering to approved statements of work and industry best practices.
Required Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and
implementing complex, large-scale Salesforce solutions, including
system maintenance, customization, and resolving system
errors.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Developer,
including Apex programming, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows,
and integration with third-party applications.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud,
Experience Cloud, and Platform Development with expertise in
configuration, automation, and API integrations.
- Experience with Salesforce DevOps (CI/CD), version control, and
release management in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of Salesforce security model, data governance, and
compliance best practices.
- Hands-on experience in Azure, AWS, or similar cloud
environments with proven expertise in cloud-native services,
DevOps, and automation tools.
- Strong background in SQL, relational databases (Oracle, MS
SQL), and Linux-based environments.
- Familiarity with HUD Project Planning and Management
Methodology (PPM) or similar IT governance frameworks.
Desired Skills:
- Experience working with enterprise-wide Salesforce
implementations, including migration from legacy systems.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce integrations using
REST/SOAP APIs, middleware (MuleSoft, Boomi), and data migration
strategies.
- Strong knowledge of Unisys/IBM Mainframe data environments and
their interaction with modern cloud platforms.
- Ability to lead and mentor teams in Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD
methodologies.
