Title: Senior Test Technician
Location: Baltimore, IL
Shift: M-F, 8:00 - 4:00 P.M (hours may vary)
Compensation: $20-28/HR

Position Description:
Your primary responsibilities involve setting up or creating
standard and automated test equipment to conduct functional,
operational, environmental, and life tests for evaluating the
performance and reliability of prototype or production assemblies.
Furthermore, you will closely analyze test results and carry out
necessary repairs or adjustments based on your analysis. A crucial
aspect of your role is to recommend improvements to test procedures
with the aim of simplifying testing and assembly processes.
Major Responsibilities Include:
--- Conducting functional tests to assess the performance of
production electronic systems, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
--- Testing both commercial and complex (mil-spec) electronic
assemblies using pre-production or prototype documentation.
--- Precisely comparing test results with specifications and
maintaining accurate records of test data.
--- Investigating defective units to identify the root cause of
failure.
--- Collaborating in the development of necessary processes,
tooling, and fixtures.
--- Ensuring the maintenance of all test equipment calibration
requirements.
--- Efficiently managing your time and completing tasks as directed
by your supervisor.
Educational Experience:
The ideal candidate for this role should possess an Associate's
Degree, Post-Secondary Certificate, or equivalent military training
in Electronics Engineering Technology or a related field.
Experience/Technical Requirements:
--- A minimum of 5 years of experience in testing, maintaining,
and/or repairing electronic assemblies, preferably within a
production environment.
--- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of analog and RF theory,
microprocessor-based, and mixed-signal circuits.
--- Proficiency in interpreting and using wiring diagrams,
schematics, and engineering work instructions.
--- Demonstrated ability to analyze and troubleshoot defective
units down to the component level.
--- Proficiency in the use of general test equipment such as
Oscilloscopes, function generators, and DMM's.
--- Proficiency in using Windows-based computer programs, including
Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
--- Highly desirable skills include hand-soldering and rework
experience and a general understanding of printed wiring assembly
production (although the latter is not required).
--- Candidates should be available and willing to work alternate
shifts and overtime as needed.
Physical Demands:
The role demands good color perception, eyesight, and the effective
use of magnification aids like binocular microscopes and related
test equipment. Strong hand-eye coordination and the ability to use
basic hand tools are essential. Candidates should be capable of
comfortably lifting up to 40 pounds. While performing job duties,
employees will regularly sit, use their hands, reach, bend, twist
to lift and reload items, and engage in verbal communication.
