If you consider yourself an innovator, you already have the right mentality to help us accomplish significant and meaningful achievements that will revolutionize the way our organization operates.As a Software Engineer 2, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements. You will utilize software development and software design methodologies to build and conduct simulations in the test and development environment. Also, you will be required to provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software modules. Strong analytical troubleshooting and performance evaluation skills are of key importance. To be an effective team member, you must be capable of working independently when necessary, with strong communication skills, the ability to follow-through, stay motivated, and collaborate with others to successfully complete all assignments.Additional Information:

• 3 team members made up of a software and a system engineer working in conjunction with a larger team.
• Work performed in contractor facility in Annapolis Junction.
• Both low and high side access.Required Qualifications:
  • TS/SCI Polygraph.
  • Fourteen (14) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.Required Skills:
    • Expert experience of Java technologies and APIs.
    • Intermediate experience with JavaScript and JavaScript Libraries including Angular, React JS, jQuery, and/or ExtJS.
    • Intermediate experience developing enterprise solutions with Java EE and related technologies such as persistence frameworks, build tools, version control systems, and continuous integration tools (Git, Maven, Eclipse, or SVN).
    • Intermediate experience with open-source utility tools that automate the management and function of programs inside software containers such as Docker.
    • Intermediate experience of WebServices and XML/JSON.
    • Basic experience with Spring MVC.
    • Proficient in Linux.Preferred Qualifications:
      • Experience in Cloud/Big Data (Batch and Streaming Analytics).
      • Knowledgeable with Node.js, React.js, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or NiFi.
      • Experience with Kubernetes.
      • Experience with MongoDB.
      • Experience with Virtualized Platforms.
      • Experience with encryption technologies; key management, encryption at rest and in transit.
      • Familiar with CNO/CND/Reverse Engineering/Mobile Development a plus.
      • Basic understanding of Machine Learning.
      • Some familiarity with ElasticSearch (ELK) and Splunk.Benefits:
