Job Description:
Job Description UPMC offers a $6,000 sign on bonus with a 2-year
commitment for new hires. /n In addition to performing imaging
procedures at an advanced level, coordinates workflow, assists with
projects and coordinates educational activities. Functions as a
working technologist and distributes workload to ensure efficient
operations. /n This position will work from 7:30 to 4:00 p.m. from
Monday to Friday. Weeknight/Weekend/Holiday/Call rotation.
Responsibilities: /n /n - Performs all responsibilities of Level II
Advanced Nuclear Medicine tech including Maintains proper records
of radiopharmaceuticals and calculates, measures and records
patient dose. Performs all quality control checks on imaging and
non-imaging equipment. Properly identifies all patients and
provides instructions for exams. Competently performs all nuclear
medicine exams and codes and tracks exams in RIS. /n - Interact
with patients and co-workers by displaying the values of caring,
listening, dignity and respect. /n - Leads orientation and
education for new hires, students and other medical personnel;
ensures competencies are completed in the required time frame.
Responsible for offering remediation with technologists when
necessary. /n - Assists with quality assurance projects and assists
in the development of exam protocols alongside or in place of
advanced technologists and communicates results back to department
leadership. Collaborates with research projects as needed. /n -
Coordinate daily workflow and schedule of the department while
maintaining staffing levels based on, but not limited to, call
offs, vacations, patient volumes, and training needs. /n - Assists
in talent acquisition interviews for successful recruitment of
technologist candidates and provides feedback for annual
performance reviews. /n - Assumes the leadership role in the
absence of the supervisor. /n /n - Graduate of an accredited
Nuclear Medicine Technology Program required. /n - 3 Years nuclear
medicine experience required. Licensure, Certifications, and
Clearances: ARRT(N) or CNMT registry required. CPR or BLS Required.
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic
and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire. /n -
ARRT Certificate OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification
(NMTC) /n - Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary
