Job Description & Requirements - Specialty:Med Surg - Discipline:RN - Start Date:07/07/2025 - Duration:12 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift:12 hours - Employment Type:Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) Camden, NJ 13 Weeks Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Unit Description:We are seeking a skilled Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This position requires floating to various units, including Trauma, Cardiac, Neuro, Surgical, Orthopedic, and Cancer Care. The maximum patient-to-nurse ratio is 6:1. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in medical management, particularly in areas such as chest pain, blood pressure regulation, and electrolyte imbalances. Key Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in telemetry and critical care settings. - Manage medical conditions including chest pain, blood pressure issues, and electrolyte imbalances. - Administer electrolyte replacements both orally and intravenously. - Drive heparin gtt protocol and interpret dysrhythmias through telemetry strip analysis. - Perform IV push of antihypertensive medications and conduct blood draws. - Place and maintain IVs, PICC lines, central lines, and ports. - Manage tracheostomy care and chest tube maintenance. - Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Schedule: - Shift:Nights, every other weekend. - Orientation:2 days of classroom orientation; no on-unit orientation. - Hours:36 hours per week. - Cancellation Policy:Client can cancel 1 shift bi-weekly (per pay period) without penalty. Required Experience: - Minimum of 3 years of recent Telemetry RN experience in a busy Level 1 Trauma facility. - Experience in medical management of chest pain, blood pressure, electrolyte imbalances, and IV medication administration. Education & Certification: - Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (NJ-RN) License. - Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. - Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification. - COVID vaccination and booster, as well as a flu shot, are required.
