DescriptionIn this rapidly evolving world, Leidos is always
looking for new ways to disrupt the status quo, go to market
faster, and optimize customer experiences. We're seeking an
experienced Product Manager to support our government customer. The
Product Manager will lead a team of Product Owners responsible for
product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle,
including gathering and prioritizing product and customer
requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with
engineering, development, and stakeholders to ensure customer
satisfaction goals are met.The ideal candidate will have a deep
understanding and working knowledge of product management for
software solutions, ideally within the software development and
enterprise IT sectors. They should be able to work collaboratively
across business units, take responsibility for delivering business
outcomes and commercial success, and employ a data-driven
decision-making approach. Initiative and the ability to challenge
the status quo are essential, along with testing ideas, collecting
data, and challenging assumptions.Candidate MUST:Role will be
hybrid onsite in the DC office with possibly some telecommuting
options. Candidates must be local to the DC Metro area for onsite
meetings in Reston, Rockville, or DC. Candidates MUST be located in
the United States for the current three consecutive years. They
must be a US Citizen or US Person (Green Card Holder) with the
ability to obtain a level 4 Public Trust
Clearance.Responsibilities:
- Maintain product roadmap and backlog using inputs from vendors,
current business needs, operational and strategic planning.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive product strategy and
roadmap for enterprise IT and software solutions, aligning with
customer needs and business goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, internal
teams, and subject matter experts, to gather and analyze
requirements, identifying user needs, pain points, and business
objectives.
- Provide operational leadership and understanding of the
development path for the product.
- Prioritize features and functionality based on business value,
customer feedback, and market demand, maintaining a product backlog
and collaborating with development teams for timely delivery.
- Communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to
internal stakeholders, managing expectations and aligning on
product direction.
- Participate in an agile development environment, collaborating
with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product
delivery.
- Develop clear user stories that accurately capture requirements
to support development efforts and product advancement.
- Coordinate and oversee product releases, ensuring smooth
deployment and launch by working closely with development, QA, and
release management teams.Basic Qualifications
- Active Public Trust Clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Bachelor's Degree and 12 years of related IT experience,
including 5 years in product leadership or agile project
management. Additional 4 years of experience may substitute for a
degree.
- MUST have experience as a Product Manager on a federal
government program
- Proven success in leading or coordinating product or project
delivery for cross-functional teams.
- Ability to establish trust and collaborate within complex
organizations.
- Experience supporting custom solutions or configuring vendor
solutions.
- Certifications such as Professional Scrum Master, Scrum
Developer, Scrum Product Owner.
- Proficiency in strategic thinking, project management, product
lifecycle management, cross-functional leadership, and
organizational change management.Technical Skills
- Experience in product management and business analysis,
especially in network management solutions.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate requirements
into product plans.
- Familiarity with UX principles and collaboration with UX
designers.
- Experience in agile environments, coordinating teams, and
delivering software releases.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Expertise in providing status updates and product
demonstrations.Certifications
- Scrum certifications, ITIL, Six Sigma, Lean, CAPM, PMP,
PMI-ACP.
- Experience with SharePoint Online modern pages.Masters degree
in Information Technology, Business, or a related field is strongly
preferred.
