Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision machining, with expertise in operating manual machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. Pump repair knowledge a plus. Responsibilities: - Set up and operate manual machining equipment, including lathes, mills, saws and grinders. - Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. - Select appropriate tools, materials, and cutting speeds for each job. - Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and accuracy of parts produced. - Perform routine maintenance on machines to keep them in optimal condition. - Troubleshoot issues and make adjustments as needed to maintain productivity. - Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times. Requirements: - Proven experience as a machinist, with a minimum of 5 years in precision machining. - Proficiency in operating manual machining equipment. - Strong knowledge of machining techniques, tooling, and materials. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. - Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain tight tolerances. - Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. - Certification or formal training in machining is preferred.
