Job Description:
Looking for experienced Tower Technicians (Tech I, Tech II, and
Tech III) who will install, maintain, and assist in troubleshooting
coax and antenna; modify, ground and erect towers safely and
efficiently. Our experienced techs will immediately be productive
members of the crews who have been trained in fall protection
regulations, the equipment that applies to communication structures
work, and proper use and inspection of said equipment. Our
experienced techs are able to identify hazards and inspect
equipment, and each one also processes the physical and mental
abilities, required personal protection equipment, and training to
be an authorized climber while 100% supervised by a competent
climber. Position responsibilities (Essential Functions): Ability
to execute directions on-site from lead/supervisor and/or competent
climber with minimal hands-on supervision Execute tower
installations, upgrades, and modifications according to industry
standards and project specifications. Maintain and enforce Mid
Atlantic Contracting's safety program and standards, helping ensure
daily job site safety plans are reviewed and followed. Lead by
example, assisting newer employees in completing tasks and help
enforce a positive work culture Maximize crew efficiency by taking
a hands on approach in leading teammates through knowledge sharing
and task specific demonstrations Continuously look for areas of
improvement on our projects by assisting the lead/supervisor with
crew accountability, equipment, and company resources Responsible
for assisting with daily progress, job plans, job safety analysis,
and assist with completing job closeout documentation on time
Essential skills and experience: 1 year of verified climbing
experience is required Experience working with all carriers
(Verizon, T-Mobile, BGE) Must have completed fall protection
certification training, DOT physical, First Aid and CPR
Certifications, Company safety training, OSHA 10, ComTrain
certification, basic rigging, crane signals, RF safety, and aerial
lift safety (or must be able to be re-certified or certified in a
short time frame) Experience in sweep, PIM, and fiber testing
Knowledge of cellular RF installation techniques (weatherproofing,
connectors, ground-kit application) Knowledge of all Antenna
Systems Equipment, including but not limited to antenna, cable,
connectors, TMAs, grounding, weather-proofing and other associated
hardware Maintain high job standards and detail orientation in a
fast-paced environment Must be a self-starter with ability to work
effectively with minimal supervision as well as in a team High
attention to detail and excellent proof-reading capabilities Must
be able to prioritize workload Ability to identify and resolve
problems in a timely manner Knowledge of practices in the wireless
industry Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and
supplies Ability to interpret basic drawings and plans Ability to
communicate clearly verbally and in writing Ability to understand,
follow, and transmit written and verbal instructions Documented
training and skills assessment to effectively assist in rescue
techniques and may be designated to assist the competent rescuer

be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels
on sites as well as wet and/or humid conditions, construction
debris, dust, construction material fumes and odors, moving
mechanical parts, high and underground precarious places, fumes or
airborne particles, all weather conditions, extreme cold and
extreme heat, and occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic
chemicals; risk of electrical shock and risk of vibration; must
work outside in varying weather/driving conditions combined with
regular work time indoors.
