Job Description:
RF Test Technician – Precision Testing in a High-Tech
Environment Location: Gaithersburg MD area Are you skilled in RF
and microwave testing with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for
hands-on problem-solving? Join our team as an RF Test Technician,
where you’ll play a key role in testing and tuning high-frequency
components used in cutting-edge communications and radar systems.
We’re looking for a dedicated technician with strong experience in
RF testing and troubleshooting who’s comfortable working in a
fast-paced production and R&D environment. What You’ll Be
Doing: · Perform testing and tuning of RF and microwave components
including bias tees, RF filters, multiplexers, and other passive
components · Use Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs), Spectrum
Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and other lab equipment to perform
detailed measurements and tests · Tune RF circuits using small hand
tools and work with components such as capacitors, coils,
substrates, and attachment media (solder, epoxy) · Read and
interpret schematics, blueprints, travelers, rework instructions,
and process documentation · Test, troubleshoot, and perform rework
of components as needed · Support both production and R&D
testing functions · Collaborate with engineering and production
control teams to ensure quality and efficiency · Maintain lab
equipment and follow all quality and safety procedures What You
Bring: · 2–5 years of hands-on experience in RF/microwave testing
(preferably in amplifier, radar, or related industries) · Strong
experience with VNAs and tuning filters is highly preferred ·
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision · Technical
School certification or equivalent training preferred, but not
required · Familiarity with high-power RF or probe station testing
is a plus · A detail-oriented mindset and solid problem-solving
skills
