Job Description:
Sr. Electrical Engineer Atlantic City, NJ 08405 System One is
seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer in Atlantic City, NJ to provide
engineering support on government infrastructure / aviation
projects. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded the
Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5) to our client in April
2023. Our client is the prime contractor. This $1.8 billion
contract has a 4-year base period with two 3-year options. The
statement of work includes a variety of activities that support the
FAA’s Capital Investment Plan (CIP) and certain reimbursable
programs, the FAA NextGen Program, national security programs and
aviation safety. Specifically, work includes site selection and
engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety,
equipment installation and testing, drafting, contract
surveillance, and other technical services as required. Work is
performed across the nation in each of the FAA’s nine regions as
well as the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the
Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey and in several U.S.
territories. An average staff of 500 with a peak staff over 650
supports this contract, in addition to those subcontractors who
perform construction work. Important Details: 6 - 8 months contract
opportunity (possible temp-to-hire if workload permits) Pay rate
range: $43 - 69.50/hr. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Weekly pay

public trust position. Federal FAA background check can take 4 - 8
weeks to clear Senior Electrical Engineer responsibilities:
Electrical Engineer will provide Engineering Support to include,
but not limited to the following: Design low voltage power
distribution systems. Prepare single line diagrams and wiring
diagrams under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Coordinate design with other disciplines (i.e., civil,
architectural, mechanical, structural, etc.) Adhere to our policies
as well as the FAA policies for design document development.
Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings,
specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and
construction purposes, utilizing CAE/CAD as applicable. Prepare
standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs,
estimates, surveys, and designs. Prepare detailed requisitions for
low voltage equipment and materials. Size conduit, conductors and
overcurrent protection devices per the National Electric Code
(NEC). Reviews small and portions of larger supplier drawing
submittals and assists in performing technical bid analyses.
Prepare and issues specifications, data sheets, and other
construction documents. Provide input and technical guidance to CAD
Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on
the same project. Perform other responsibilities associated with
this position as may be appropriate. Perform field surveys and
collect required data as per project needs. Senior Electrical
Engineer required skills: BS degree in Electrical Engineering from
an ABET accredited college. (Third party evaluation of ABET
equivalency may be accepted.) 8 years of electrical design related
experience in low voltage power distribution systems, data center
design, power quality analysis, lighting systems, grounding,
lightning protection and Uninterruptible Power Sources (UPS). Must
be able to pass government background check. Working knowledge of
the National Electric Code (NEC). Proficiency in AutoCAD. Ability
to work well under pressure and within budgeted hours and schedule.
Green card or US citizenship required. PE license in any State is
required. Senior Electrical Engineer preferred skills: Previous
experience in engineering consulting with federal agencies is
preferred. Working knowledge of FAA standards and specifications is
preferred. Familiar with construction practices and safe work
procedures. Ability to solve problems with persons inside and
outside an organization to find mutually beneficial solutions.
Previous experience with lightning and grounding protection.
Proficiency in Bluebeam. Proficiency in SKM and the ability to
