Year Up is seeking an enthusiastic individual for an Entry Level Programming Opportunity within our dynamic education and training department. This role is designed for driven individuals looking to make a tangible impact in the lives of young adults. By integrating programming skills and pedagogical principles, the candidate will contribute to and learn from our established curriculum, which aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical, professional skills in technology. Develop and refine programming curriculum components for integration into our educational programs Collaborate with educational staff to tailor programming lessons that align with students' learning outcomes Assist in teaching programming modules to students while ensuring content is accessible and engaging Monitor and report on student progress and outcomes Stay updated with the latest programming trends and educational methodologies Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++) Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to relate to and engage young adults in a learning environment Capacity to work collaboratively and independently Teaching certificate in relevant field is advantageous Certifications in relevant programming languages or ongoing professional development in education technology are valued
