Description The Senior Preconstruction Manager - Annapolis, MD | 2 Days Remote will be responsible for: Leading preconstruction activities for commercial and multifamily projects from initial design through project handoff Collaborating with developers, architects, engineers, and internal teams to assess project feasibility and ensure design alignment with budget goals Developing and overseeing project budgets, cost estimates, and value engineering options throughout design phases Performing detailed quantity take-offs and pricing across all CSI divisions, identifying scopes, materials, and systems impacting cost and schedule Creating and maintaining preconstruction schedules, covering design milestones, permitting, bidding, and early procurement Managing subcontractor bidding and procurement processes, analyzing and comparing bids to recommend qualified trade partners Leading estimating teams and mentoring junior staff, providing technical support and professional development Facilitating constructability reviews to identify risks, conflicts, and opportunities for schedule or cost improvements Coordinating with project executives and operations teams to ensure seamless transition from preconstruction to construction Monitoring local market trends, construction costs, and material availability to provide accurate forecasting Reviewing and negotiating preconstruction agreements, scopes of work, and general conditions with clients and subcontractors Representing the company in meetings with owners, developers, and consultants, maintaining clear and effective communication Profile The Senior Preconstruction Manager - Annapolis, MD | 2 Days Remote will have: A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred) 8 years of estimating or preconstruction experience, including 3 years in a senior or lead role Proven experience with commercial and/or multifamily residential construction projects Proficiency using estimating software (e.g., WinEst, On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam) and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment Job Offer The Senior Preconstruction Manager - Annapolis, MD | 2 Days Remote will receive: Competitive base salary based on experience Opportunity for annual bonuses Flexible schedule with 2 days remote work 401(k) plan with company match Three weeks PTO plus holidays Company-provided phone and laptop Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
