Senior Business Analyst, Liquidity, Market, and Capital Risk
Oversight The Liquidity, Market, and Capital Risk Oversight (LMCRO)
team is seeking a motivated candidate for a Senior Associate
position. LMCRO is a second line of defense Independent Risk
Management (IRM) function responsible for oversight of the
company’s measurement and management of risks across the crisis
continuum, including liquidity risk, market risk-taking and
management, capital measurement and management, and recovery and
resolution planning. This includes regulatory stress testing (e.g.,
CCAR, ILST and other resilience analysis), regulatory requirements
(e.g., Basel), overall liquidity, market, and capital risk
management frameworks, and regulatory compliance. The second line
of defense is both an expert advisor of the first line and an
effective challenger of first line risk activities. The successful
candidate will have a good blend of analytical capabilities,
communications skills, and intellectual curiosity. In addition, the
successful candidate will be able to build strong partnerships with
the first line of defense capital teams and other internal
independent review and challenge organizations (e.g., Risk
Management, Model Validation, and Audit). As a Senior Business

Contribute to challenges of capital measurement and management
processes, including methodologies, assumptions/inputs, results,
and business decisions Support problem solving and decision-making
by applying quantitative analytic skills, e.g.: collect data from
internal and/or external sources with queries or other techniques;
summarize and transform data; input data into models or other
processes or systems; verify outputs; and analyze and communicate
results Help to prepare and, at times, present, challenge
materials, documentation, and presentations for senior management,
the Board of Directors, regulators, and auditors Partner with other
internal teams that perform independent review and effective
challenge to ensure that a consistent, high standard is maintained
Develop an understanding of industry best practices, trends, and
supervisory guidance with respect to capital measurement and
management Perform your work while reflecting the Company’s
expected competency behaviors, such as results focus, teamwork,
good judgment, and customer focus Basic Qualifications: Currently
has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an
expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before
the scheduled start date: A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative
field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics,
Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science,
Computer engineering, Software engineering, Mechanical engineering,
Information Systems or a related quantitative field) A Master's
Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting,
Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics,
Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering,
Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related
quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration At
least 2 years of professional experience performing analysis
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Business or
quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences,
Math, Statistics, Engineering 1 years of experience in Statistical
model building 1 years of experience in market research 1 years of
experience in SQL querying 2 years of experience in business
analysis 1 years of experience in consulting Capital One will

annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please
note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to
perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the
amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed
upon number of hours to be regularly worked. McLean, VA: $111,200 -
$126,900 for Sr. Business Analyst Richmond, VA: $101,100 - $115,400
for Sr. Business Analyst Riverwoods, IL: $101,100 - $115,400 for
Sr. Business Analyst Candidates hired to work in other locations
will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and
the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the
time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer
letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based
incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or
long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or
