Staff Accountant - Fairfax, VA Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a local client in Fairfax, VA looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team. This position is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, assisting with month-end close, and ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with company policies and GAAP. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate general ledger records Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts regularly Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and financial reporting Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and support depreciation tracking Review and code financial transactions to appropriate accounts in accordance with company policies Support audits by gathering documentation and responding to inquiries from internal and external auditors Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
